Related Product Information for anti-GNAS antibody
GNAS (GNAS Complex Locus) is a Protein Coding gene. GNAS is a complex imprinted gene encoding the alpha-subunit of the stimulatory heterotrimeric G protein (Gs alpha), which belongs to the G-alpha family. Inactivating mutations in Gsalpha-coding GNAS exons are responsible for Albright's hereditary osteodystrophy (AHO), which refers to a constellation of physical and developmental disorders including obesity, short stature, brachydactyly, cognitive impairment, and heterotopic ossification. GNAS mediates receptor-stimulated cAMP signaling, which integrates diverse environmental cues with intracellular responses. GNAS mutations have been described in mucinous and non-mucinous epithelial neoplasms of the appendix, pancreas, and colon, with hotspot GNAS mutations found in up to two-thirds of pancreatic intraductal papillary mucinous neoplasms.

Product Notes

The GNAS gnas (Catalog #AAA254358) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's G protein alpha S/GNAS can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GNAS gnas for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "G protein alpha S/GNAS, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
