Related Product Information for anti-GREM1 antibody
Gremlin-1 antibody is an unconjugated rabbit polyclonal antibody to Gremlin-1 (GREM1)(aa25-184) from rat. It is reactive with human, mouse and rat. Validated for IHC and WB.
GREM1 (Gremlin-1) is a member of the BMP (bone morphogenic protein) antagonist family. Like BMPs, BMP antagonists contain cystine knots and typically form homo- and heterodimers. The CAN (cerberus and dan) subfamily of BMP antagonists, to which this gene belongs, is characterized by a C-terminal cystine knot with an eight-membered ring. The antagonistic effect of the secreted glycosylated protein encoded by this gene is likely due to its direct binding to BMP proteins. As an antagonist of BMP, this gene may play a role in regulating organogenesis, body patterning, and tissue differentiation. In mouse, this protein has been shown to relay the sonic hedgehog (SHH) signal from the polarizing region to the apical ectodermal ridge during limb bud outgrowth. Alternatively spliced transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Product Notes
The GREM1 grem1 (Catalog #AAA162804) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The GREM1/Gremlin-1 Rabbit anti-Rat Polyclonal (aa25-184) Antibody reacts with Mouse, Rat, Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's GREM1/Gremlin-1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the GREM1 grem1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "GREM1/Gremlin-1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
