Related Product Information for anti-HO-2 antibody
Heme oxygenase (HO) catalyzes the degradation of heme at the alpha-methene bridge to form biliverdin. Three isoforms of heme oxygenase are known. Heme oxygenase 1 (HO-1) is an inducible isoform in response to stress such as oxidative stress, hypoxia, heavy metals, cytokines, etc. Heme oxygenase 2 (HO-2) is a constitutive isoform that is expressed under homeostatic conditions. Both HO-1 and HO-2 are ubiquitously expressed and catalytically active. HO-1 is encoded by the HMOX1 gene and HO-2 by HMOX2. A third heme oxygenase (HO-3) is not catalytically active, but is thought to work in oxygen sensing.

Product Notes
The HO-2 hmox2 (Catalog #AAA47857) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's Heme Oxygenase-2 (HO-2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IB (Immunoblot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the HO-2 hmox2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Heme Oxygenase-2 (HO-2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
