Related Product Information for anti-CIB2 antibody
DNA-dependent protein kinases (DNA-PK) play a role in the repair of double-strand DNA breaks and in the process of V(D)J recombination during lymphoid development. By EST database searching for sequences homologous to the DNA-PK gene KIP/CIB and 5-prime RACE, Seki, N et al. isolated a full-length cDNA, which they designated as KIP2, from a human fetal brain cDNA library. KIP2 encodes a deduced 187-amino acid protein with a predicted molecular mass of 22 kD. The KIP2 protein shares 46%, 39%, and 30% sequence identity with the calcium-binding proteins KIP/CIB, calcineurin B and calmodulin respectively. KIP2 contains two EF-hand motifs and a helix-loop-helix motif involved in coordinating the calcium ion, indicating that KIP2 may also bind calcium. KIP2 is ubiquitously expressed in various human tissues.

Product Notes

The CIB2 cib2 (Catalog #AAA285952) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The immunogen sequence is 8-37. The KIP2 Antibody (N-term) reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KIP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CIB2 cib2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KIP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
