Rabbit MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2) Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MAP2 antibody
MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2)
WB (Western Blot)
(Western blot analysis of different tissue lysates using rabbit pAb to microtubule associated protein 2A and 2B (MAP2A/B), AAA76742, dilution 1:50,000 in green: [1] protein standard (red), [2] rat brain, [3] mouse brain, and [4] caw cortex. Strong band at about 280kDa mark corresponds to the two major high molecular weight MAP2 isoforms referred to as MAP2A and MAP2B. Smaller fragments of these isoforms are also detected on the blot, but the MAP2C and MAP2D isoforms are not.)
IF (Immunofluorescence)
(Immunofluorescent analysis of rat brain striatum stained with rabbit pAb to microtubule associated protein 2A and 2B isotypes (MAP2A/B), AAA76742, dilution 1:10,000 in red, and costained with chicken pAb to myelin basic protein (MBP) in green. The blue is Hoechst staining of nuclear DNA. The MAP2A/B antibody stains dendrites and perikarya of neurons, while the MBP antibody labels oligodendrocytes and myelin sheathes around axons.)
It was made against a mixture of recombinant human projection domain sequences. It binds to the MAP2A and MAP2B isoforms but not the lower molecular weight MAP2C and MAP2D forms which lack the projection domain sequences. This antibody is of very high titre, working well at dilutions of 1:10,000.

Product Notes
The MAP2 map2 (Catalog #AAA76742) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2) reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Bovine and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IF (Immunofluorescence), WB (Western Blot), ICC (Immunocytochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MAP2 map2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MAP2 (Microtubule Associated Protein 2), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
