Related Product Information for anti-MASP2 antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for MASP2 detection. Tested with WB, FCM in Human.
Background: Mannan-binding lectin serine protease 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the MASP2 gene. This gene is mapped to 1p36.22. This gene encodes a member of the peptidase S1 family of serine proteases. The encoded preproprotein is proteolytically processed to generate A and B chains that heterodimerize to form the mature protease. This protease cleaves complement components C2 and C4 in order to generate C3 convertase in the lectin pathway of the complement system. The encoded protease also plays a role in the coagulation cascade through cleavage of prothrombin to form thrombin. Myocardial infarction and acute stroke patients exhibit reduced serum concentrations of the encoded protein. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants, at least one of which encodes an isoform that is proteolytically processed.

Product Notes
The MASP2 masp2 (Catalog #AAA125449) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-MASP2 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MASP2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MASP2 masp2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MASP2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
