Rabbit anti-Human, Mouse MLL/HRX Polyclonal Antibody | anti-MLL/HRX antibody
MLL/HRX antibody (pAb)
WB (Western Blot)
(MLL/HRX antibody (pAb) tested by Western blot. HeLa whole cell extract extract (20 ug) probed with MLL/HRX antibody (pAb) at 2 ug/ml.)
IF (Immunofluorescence)
(MLL / HRX antibody (pAb) tested by Immunofluorescence. Formaldehyde fixed HeLa cells stained with MLL / HRX antibody at a 0.5 ug/ml dilution.)
ChIP (Chromatin Immunoprecipitation)
(MLL / HRX antibody (pAb) tested by ChIP-Seq. ChIP was performed using the ChIP-IT High Sensitivity Kit with 30 ug of chromatin from HeLa cells and 4 ug of antibody. ChIP DNA was sequenced on the Illumina HiSeq and 20 million sequence tags were mapped to identify MLL / HRX binding sites. The image shows binding across a region of chromosome 12. You can view the complete data set in the UCSC Genome Browser, starting at this specific location, here.)
Background: MLL (myeloid/lymphoid or mixed-lineage leukemia (trithorax homolog, Drosophila)), also known as Histone-lysine N-methyltransferase HRX, is a histone methyltransferase that plays an essential role in early development and hematopoiesis. Catalytic subunit of the MLL1 /MLL complex, a multiprotein complex that mediates both methylation of 'Lys-4' of histone H3 (H3K4me) complex and acetylation of 'Lys-16' of histone H4 (H4K16ac). In the MLL1/MLL complex, it specifically mediates H3K4me, a specific tag for epigenetic transcriptional activation. Has weak methyltransferase activity by itself, and requires other component of the MLL1/MLL complex to obtain full methyltransferase activity. Has no activity toward histone H3 phosphorylated on 'Thr-3', less activity toward H3 dimethylated on 'Arg-8' or 'Lys-9', while it has higher activity toward H3 acetylated on 'Lys-9'. Required for transcriptional activation of HOXA9. Promotes PPP1R15A-induced apoptosis.

Product Notes
The MLL/HRX kmt2a (Catalog #AAA60005) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The MLL/HRX antibody (pAb) reacts with Human, Mouse and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MLL/HRX can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IP (Immunoprecipitation), IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation), ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MLL/HRX kmt2a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MLL/HRX, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
