Related Product Information for anti-MMP-9 antibody
Matrix metalloproteinases (MMPs) belong to a family of proteinases that target many extracellular matrix proteins including additional proteinases, growth factors, cell surface receptors and adhesion molecules. MMPs contain common domain structures that include a signal sequence, a propeptide, a catalytic domain, and a hemopexin-like (Hpx) domain. The MMP activity requires proteolytic cleavage of MMPs in order to generate activie MMPs by release of the inhibitory propeptide domain from the whole molecules. MMP-2, MMP-3, MMP-7, MMP-9 and MMP-13 have been characterized as important factors for normal tissue remodeling during embryo development and wound healing, tumor invasion, angiogenesis, carcinogenesis and apoptosis. MMP activities are correlated with cancer metastatic process.MMP-2 and MMP-9, gelatinases, degrade basement membrane collagen.

Product Notes
The MMP-9 mmp9 (Catalog #AAA14085) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti MMP-9 Polyclonal antibody reacts with Human, Rat, Mouse, Chicken, Dog and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MMP-9 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, Western Blot, Immunohistochemistry. Western Blot: 0.1-1 ug/ml ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug/ml Immunohistochemistry: 2-5 ug/ml Optimal dilutions should be determined by the researchers for the specific applications. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MMP-9 mmp9 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MMP-9, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
