Related Product Information for anti-PAK3 antibody
Description: PAK3 a protein kinase of the STE20 family that regulates synapse formation and plasticity in the hippocampus. May be necessary for dendritic development and for the rapid cytoskeletal reorganization in dendritic spines associated with synaptic plasticity. Forms an activated complex with GTP-bound P21, CDC2 and RAC1 proteins. Missense and truncation mutations linked to nonsyndromic mental retardation type 30 (MRX30). Two alternatively spliced human isoforms have been reported. Note: This description may include information from UniProtKB.
Function: Serine/threonine protein kinase that plays a role in a variety of different signaling pathways including cytoskeleton regulation, cell migration, or cell cycle regulation. Plays a role in dendrite spine morphogenesis as well as synapse formation and plasticity. Acts as downstream effector of the small GTPases CDC42 and RAC1. Activation by the binding of active CDC42 and RAC1 results in a conformational change and a subsequent autophosphorylation on several serine and/or threonine residues. Phosphorylates MAPK4 and MAPK6 and activates the downstream target MAPKAPK5, a regulator of F-actin polymerization and cell migration. Additionally, phosphorylates TNNI3/troponin I to modulate calcium sensitivity and relaxation kinetics of thin myofilaments. May also be involved in early neuronal development.
Subunit Structure: Interacts tightly with GTP-bound but not GDP-bound CDC42/p21 and RAC1. Shows highly specific binding to the SH3 domains of phospholipase C-gamma and of adapter protein NCK. Interacts with the C-terminal of APP (By similarity). Interacts with ARHGEF6 and ARHGEF7.
Post-translational Modifications: Autophosphorylated when activated by CDC42/p21. Neddylated.
Similarity: Belongs to the protein kinase superfamily. STE Ser/Thr protein kinase family. STE20 subfamily.

Product Notes

The PAK3 pak3 (Catalog #AAA320738) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Phospho-PAK3(Ser154) Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PAK3 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PAK3 pak3 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PAK3, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
