This is a rabbit polyclonal antibody against TAF2. It was validated on Western Blot using a cell lysate as a positive control.

Target Description: Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II requires the activities of more than 70 polypeptides. The protein that coordinates these activities is transcription factor IID (TFIID), which binds to the core promoter to position the polymerase properly, serves as the scaffold for assembly of the remainder of the transcription complex, and acts as a channel for regulatory signals. TFIID is composed of the TATA-binding protein (TBP) and a group of evolutionarily conserved proteins known as TBP-associated factors or TAFs. TAFs may participate in basal transcription, serve as coactivators, function in promoter recognition or modify general transcription factors (GTFs) to facilitate complex assembly and transcription initiation. TAF2 is one of the larger subunits of TFIID that is stably associated with the TFIID complex. It contributes to interactions at and downstream of the transcription initiation site, interactions that help determine transcription complex response to activators.Initiation of transcription by RNA polymerase II requires the activities of more than 70 polypeptides. Product Notes

The TAF2 taf2 (Catalog #AAA197584) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TAF2 antibody - middle region reacts with Cow, Dog, Guinea Pig, Horse, Human, Mouse, Rabbit, Rat, Zebrafish and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TAF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), ChIP (Chromatin immunoprecipitation). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TAF2 taf2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: RKRNVLELEI KQDYTSPGTQ KYVGPLKVTV QELDGSFNHT LQIEENSLKH. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TAF2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
