Related Product Information for anti-TAGLN antibody
This gene encodes a shape change and transformation sensitive actin-binding protein which belongs to the calponin family. It is ubiquitously expressed in vascular and visceral smooth muscle, and is an early marker of smooth muscle differentiation. The encoded protein is thought to be involved in calcium-independent smooth muscle contraction. It acts as a tumor suppressor, and the loss of its expression is an early event in cell transformation and the development of some tumors, coinciding with cellular plasticity. The encoded protein has a domain architecture consisting of an N-terminal calponin homology (CH) domain and a C-terminal calponin-like (CLIK) domain. Mice with a knockout of the orthologous gene are viable and fertile but their vascular smooth muscle cells exhibit alterations in the distribution of the actin filament and changes in cytoskeletal organization.

Product Notes

The TAGLN tagln (Catalog #AAA283306) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TAGLN Rabbit pAb reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TAGLN can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TAGLN tagln for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: AAEDYGVIKT DMFQTVDLFE GKDMAAVQRT LMALGSLAVT KNDGHYRGDP NWFMKKAQEH KREFTESQLQ EGKHVIGLQM GSNRGASQAG MTGYGRPRQI IS. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TAGLN, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
