Related Product Information for anti-TAPA1 antibody
Description: CD81 molecule, also known as CD81 (Cluster of Differentiation 81), is a protein which in humans is encoded by the CD81 gene. The protein encoded by this gene is a member of the transmembrane 4 superfamily, also known as the tetraspanin family. Most of these members are cell-surface proteins that are characterized by the presence of four hydrophobic domains. The proteins mediate signal transduction events that play a role in the regulation of cell development, activation, growth and motility. This encoded protein is a cell surface glycoprotein that is known to complex with integrins. This protein appears to promote muscle cell fusion and support myotube maintenance. Also it may be involved in signal transduction. This gene is localized in the tumor-suppressor gene region and thus it is a candidate gene for malignancies. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.
Protein Function: May play an important role in the regulation of lymphoma cell growth. Interacts with a 16-kDa Leu-13 protein to form a complex possibly involved in signal transduction. May act as the viral receptor for HCV.

Product Notes

The TAPA1 cd81 (Catalog #AAA124636) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-TAPA1 Picoband antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat No cross reactivity with other proteins. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TAPA1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ICC (Immunocytochemistry), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), ELISA. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TAPA1 cd81 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TAPA1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
