Background Info: Identifies a band ~55kD on WB

Scientific Background: The Tumor Necrosis Factor Receptor (TNFR) also known as Cluster of differentiation (CD120) is a protein that belongs to the (TNF)/ (TNFR) superfamily. TNF interacts with two distinct receptors TNFR1 and TNFR2. These receptors share no homology on their cytoplasmic sequences(1,3).TNFR1 also known as p55/p60 is a high affinity receptor for TNF-alpha. The TNFR1 has an extracellular domain with variable numbers of cysteine-rich repeats. The functional properties of TNFR1 are targets in new therapies for osteoporosis, chronic inflammatory and autoimmune diseases (1, 2). The TNF-alpha/TNFR1 receptor complex is responsible for the recruitment and the subsequent activation of the caspase (aspartate-specific cysteine proteases) that regulate apoptosis.

Product Notes

The TNFRSF1A tnfrsf1a (Catalog #AAA103542) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TNF-R1 Antibody: ATTO 594 reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat, Monkey, Bovine, Canine, Rabbit and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TNF-R1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNFRSF1A tnfrsf1a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNF-R1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
