Specific for ~140k NR2C-subunit of the NMDA receptor in Western blots of cerebellum. Also labels the ~180k NR2A-subunit and the ~180k NR2B-subunit of the NMDA receptor. Immunolabeling blocked by preadsorption of antibody with the N-terminal fusion protein of the NR2C-subunit of the NMDA receptor that was used to generate the antibody. Human, mouse, and rat have 100% amino acid sequence identity with the antigen used to raise the antibody.

Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized antibody can be stored at -20°C and is stable for at least 2 years. The antibody should be reconstituted in 50ul phosphate buffered saline (PBS: 137mM NaCl, 7.5mM Na2HPO4, pH 7.4) before use. After reconstitution the antibody should be aliquot and stored at -20°C.
