Background: The kit is a sandwich enzyme immunoassay for in vitro quantitative measurement of Myl1 in Rat serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, tissue homogenates and other biological fluids.
Principle of the Assay: This assay employs the quantitative sandwich enzyme immunoassay technique. An antibody specific for Rat Myl1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate.Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Myl1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After washing away any unbound substances, and then a detection antibody specific for Myl1 is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound antibody- enzyme reagent, a substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of Myl1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the absorbance is measured.
