Principle of the Assay: The Human CD281 ELISA (Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay) kit is an in vitro enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay for the quantitative measurement of Human CD281 in Cell Culture Supernatants, Serum, Plasma. This assay employs an antibody specific for Human CD281 coated on a 96-well plate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and CD281 present in a sample is bound to the wells by the immobilized antibody. The wells are washed and biotinylated anti-Human CD281 antibody is added. After washing away unbound biotinylated antibody, HRP-conjugated streptavidin is pipetted to the wells. The wells are again washed, a TMB substrate solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of CD281 bound. The Stop Solution changes the color from blue to yellow, and the intensity of the color is measured at 450 nm.
Background/Introduction: TLR1 is a member of the Toll-like receptor family (TLR) of pattern recognition receptors of the innate immune system. TIR1 gene was mapped to 4p14 by fluorescence in situ hybridization. TLR1 recognizes pathogen-associated molecular pattern with a specificity for gram-positive bacteria. TLR1 has also been designated as CD281 (cluster of differentiation 281). TLR1 interacts with TLR2 to recognize the lipid configuration of the native mycobacterial lipoprotein as well as several triacylated lipopeptides.

Product Notes
The Human TLR1 tlr1 (Catalog #AAA105888) is an ELISA Kit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The AAA105888 ELISA Kit recognizes Human TLR1. AAA Biotech's CD281 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Sandwich ELISA). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TLR1 tlr1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD281, ELISA Kit" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
