Reconstitution
Centrifuge the vial before opening. Reconstitute to a concentration of 0.1-0.5 mg/mL in sterile distilled water. Avoid votex or vigorously pipetting the protein. For long term storage, it is recommended to add a carrier protein or stablizer (e.g. 0.1% BSA, 5% HSA, 10% FBS or 5% Trehalose), and aliquot the reconstituted protein solution to minimize free-thaw cycles.
Preparation and Storage
Store the lyophilized protein at -20°C to -80°C for long term.
After reconstitution, the protein solution is stable at -20°C for 3 months, at 2-8°C for up to 1 week.
Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Related Product Information for WAP5 recombinant protein
Description: Recombinant Human WAP5/WFDC2/HE4 Protein is produced by HEK293 expression system. The target protein is expressed with sequence (Glu31-Phe124) of human WAP5/WFDC2/HE4 (Accession #NP_006094.3) fused with a 6xHis tag at the C-terminus.
Background: The protein that is a member of the WFDC domain family. The WFDC domain, or WAP Signature motif, contains eight cysteines forming four disulfide bonds at the core of the protein, and functions as a protease inhibitor in many family members. This gene is expressed in pulmonary epithelial cells, and was also found to be expressed in some ovarian cancers. The encoded protein is a small secretory protein, which may be involved in sperm maturation.

Product Notes
The WAP5 wfdc2 (Catalog #AAA281431) is a Recombinant Protein produced from HEK293 Cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The amino acid sequence is listed below: EKTGVCPELQ ADQNCTQECV SDSECADNLK CCSAGCATFC SLPNDKEGSC PQVNINFPQL GLCRDQCQVD SQCPGQMKCC RNGCGKVSCV TPNF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "WAP5/WFDC2/HE4, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
