▼ELISA Kits
At AAA Biotech also known as AAA Bio or AAABio, we provide Enzyme-Linked Immunosorbent Assay (ELISA) kits that provide accurate and reliable results. These kits can detect a wide range of antigens, hormones, proteins, peptides, etc. contained within a biological sample. Due to their high sensitivity and specificity, ELISA kits are used frequently in most laboratories involved in biological research.
Our catalog contains kits for detecting various target analytes in many different species, such as for humans, mice, rats, bovines, rabbits, chickens, monkeys, goats, sheep, and more. We also have ELISA testing kits that can react with less common species, such as horses, fish, cats, donkeys, and ducks. We have different types of ELISA kits for different formats – direct, indirect, sandwich, competitive, etc. Explore our range of ELISA assay kits to discover the one that best suits your needs, or contact our technical support team to help you in your search!

FAQ
1. When should I use a competitive ELISA assay?
Competitive ELISA is ideal when the target analyte is smaller molecule (such as hormones or other short peptides or lipids/sugars) and there is unlikely to be sufficient surface or possible epitopes on the analyte/molecule to allow for two antibodies to be able to bind to it simultaneously (as would be required by an ELISA using the traditional “sandwich” design format).
2. What samples can ELISA kits be used for?
ELISA kits are compatible with a wide variety of biological samples, including serum, plasma, cell culture supernatants, urine, saliva, and tissue homogenates. Serum & plasma are routinely tested with the vast majority of kits in our catalog, but since many target analytes do not exist in these sample types, some will be further validated with various tissue homogenates or cell lysates samples. The samples ultimately tested by the manufacturing lab technician will largely depend on the target analyte’s typical location in an organism, or where its presence is of interest to the research community.
3. How long can I store my sample before using it for an ELISA assay?
Sample shelf-life ultimately depends on the intrinsic stability of the target analyte in the samples’ specific biological matrix, and also any other factors affecting it from storage (such as added preservatives and temperature). Generally:
- Short-term (up to 48 hours): Store at 2–8°C
- Long-term: Store at -20°C or -80°C for most biological samples
Avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles to maintain sample integrity.
