• Host Note: Optimized DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of human Insulin receptor including a C-terminal polyHis tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.
• Molecular Weight Note: Recombinant human INSR is a monomer protein consisting of 928 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 130kDa, 45kDa protein under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions, corresponding to the alpha and beta receptor subunits.
• Biological Activity: Meausred by its ability to bind recombinant human Insulin at a concentration range of 0.3-40ug/ml.
• Endotoxin: Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.; Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
• Reconsitution: A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water by gently mixing a concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml. Avoid harsh shaking or vortexing.
• Preparation and Storage: The lyophilized protein is stable for 1 year from date of receipt at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8°C for one month, or at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months, addition of a carrier protein to your working aliquots (0.1% BSA or HSA) is recommended for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.
