Synonyms
Insulin receptor (CD220); N/A; Human Insulin receptor Recombinant (CD220); Human Insulin receptor Recombinant (CD220) ; insr; insulin; INSR active protein
Host
HEK293 Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Purity/Purification
>98%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Form/Format
Recombinant human Insulin receptor is supplied as lyophilized 0.2 um filtered PBS solution, pH7.2.
Sequence Length
1382
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding extracellular domain of human Insulin receptor including a C-terminal polyHis tag was expressed in HEK293 cells.
Molecular Weight Note
Recombinant human INSR is a monomer protein consisting of 928 amino acid residue subunits, due to glycosylation migrates as an approximately 130kDa, 45kDa protein under reducing SDS-PAGE conditions, corresponding to the alpha and beta receptor subunits.
Biological Activity
Meausred by its ability to bind recombinant human Insulin at a concentration range of 0.3-40ug/ml.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Reconsitution
A quick spin of the vial followed by reconstitution in distilled water by gently mixing a concentration not less than 0.1mg/ml. Avoid harsh shaking or vortexing.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for 1 year from date of receipt at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, the protein can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8°C for one month, or at -20°C to -70°C for twelve months, addition of a carrier protein to your working aliquots (0.1% BSA or HSA) is recommended for long term storage. Avoid repeated freeze/thaw cycles.

Product Notes
The INSR insr (Catalog #AAA76108) is an Active Protein produced from HEK293 Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Insulin receptor (CD220), Active Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
