Background: UXS1 (UDP-glucuronate decarboxylase 1) gene is expressed in a wide range of tissues, including multiple brain areas. This protein is localized to the perinuclear Golgi. This protein is composed of 420 amino acids coded by 1260 nucleotides, and it has a molecular weight of 47kDa.
Principle of the Assay: Human UDP-glucuronic acid decarboxylase 1 (UXS1) ELISA Kit employs a two-site sandwich ELISA to quantitate UXS1 in samples. An antibody specific for UXS1 has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any UXS1 present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, HRP-Conjugated Human UXS1 detection antibody is added to the wells. Following a wash to remove any unbound HRP reagent, a Chromogen solution is added to the wells and color develops in proportion to the amount of UXS1 bound in the initial step. The color development is stopped and the intensity of the color is measured.
