Related Product Information for anti-CCR5 antibody
CCR5, a Chemokine Receptor, is a coreceptor for the human immunodeficiency virus-1 (HIV-1). HIV progression and resistance has been linked to variable CCR5 transcripts. For example, the disease progression from HIV-1 infection to AIDS appears to be slower in patients heterozygous for a 32-bp CCR5 deletion than in individuals homozygous for the normal CCR5 allele. The CCR5 gene is located near the genes for CCR2 and chemokine (C-C motif) receptor-like 2 on chromosome 3.

Product Notes

The CCR5 ccr5 (Catalog #AAA51936) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Mouse Monoclonal [clone T21/8] (IgG1,k) to Human CCR5 reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CCR5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), IP (Immunoprecipitation), WB (Western Blot), IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CCR5 ccr5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CCR5, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
