50 mM Sodium Phosphate pH 7.5, 500 mM Potassium Chloride, 150mM NaCl, 5% Glycerol, 0.2% BSA, 0.04% NaN3 (as a preservative).
Concentration
1.0 mg/ml (varies by lot)
Immunogen
Human tonsil cells/PBM
Production
Antibody from (low FBS containing) tissue culture supernatant was size exclusion purified to 95% Immunoglobulin by SDS-PAGE, and reacted with NHS-Biotin. Unconjugated Biotin was removed from conjugate using a desalting column.
Performance
Five x 105 ficoll prepared human peripheral blood mononuclear cells (PBMC) were washed and pre incubated ~5 minutes with 20 ul of 250 ug/ml human IgG (to block non specific binding), after which they were incubated 45 minutes on ice with 80 ul of anti-CD36/Biotin at 10 ug/ml. Cells were washed twice and incubated with 2o reagent Streptavidin/R-PE (MBS666773), after which they were washed three times, fixed and analyzed by FACS. A 7.5% sub population of cells stained positive with a mean shift of 2.3 log10 fluorescent units when compared to a Mouse IgM/Biotin negative control (MBS666594).
Preparation and Storage
Store at 2 - 5°C. Do not freeze.
Related Product Information for anti-CD36 antibody
Human CD36 is a major platelet glycoprotein also found on monocytes, macrophages and some endothelial cells. CD36 may play a role in cell adhesion as a receptor for thrombospondin. CD36 is a receptor for adhesion of malaria infected erythrocytes. CD36 is also proported to have a role in phagocytosis. Antibody SMO recognizes the CD36 molecule of 88 kd.

Product Notes
The CD36 cd36 (Catalog #AAA78157) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The anti-human CD36-Biotin reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD36, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
