von Willebrand Factor (vWF) is a multimeric glycoprotein that is found in endothelial cells, plasma and platelets. It acts as a carrier protein for Factor VIII and promotes platelet adhesion and aggregation. vWF undergoes a variety of posttranslational modifications that influence the affinity and availability for Factor VIII, including cleavage of the propeptide and formation of N-terminal disulfide bonds. This antibody helps to establish the endothelial nature of some lesions of disputed histogenesis, e.g. KAP'sis sarcoma and cardiac myxoma. It is widely used for differentiating vascular lesions from those of other tissue differentiation within a panel of other vascular markers although not all tumors of endothelial differentiation contain this antigen.

Product Notes
The VWF vwf (Catalog #AAA62831) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The von Willebrand Factor / Factor VIII Related-Ag (Endothelial Marker) Mouse Monoclonal Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's von Willebrand Factor / Factor VIII Related-Ag can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), IP (Immunoprecipitation), WB (Western Blot), IF (Immunofluorescence), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the VWF vwf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "von Willebrand Factor / Factor VIII Related-Ag, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
