Reconstitution
1.Before opening the tube cap, centrifgue the sample tube at 5000g for 3-5 minutes at room temperature to ensure the lyophilized sample to settle down at the bottom of the tube.
2. Dissolved lyophilized protein sample in sterile water based on the recommended volume 20.79 µL
3.After adding sterile water, cover the lid and mix them by gently tapping the tube for 5-10 times.
Note: Do not vortez or vigourously pipette sample.

Preparation and Storage
Store at -20°C to -80°C for 12 months in lyophilized form. After reconstitution, if not intended for use within a month, aliquot and store at -80°C (Avoid repeated freezing and thawing). Lyophilized proteins are shipped at ambient temperature.

Background: Neurofilaments are type IV intermediate filament heteropolymers composed of light, medium, and heavy chains. Neurofilaments comprise the axoskeleton and they functionally maintain the neuronal caliber. They may also play a role in intracellular transport to axons and dendrites. This gene encodes the light chain neurofilament protein. Mutations in this gene cause Charcot-Marie-Tooth disease types 1F (CMT1F) and 2E (CMT2E), disorders of the peripheral nervous system that are characterized by distinct neuropathies.
