Target Description: COG5 is required for normal Golgi function.Multiprotein complexes are key determinants of Golgi apparatus structure and its capacity for intracellular transport and glycoprotein modification. Several complexes have been identified, including the Golgi transport complex (GTC), the LDLC complex, which is involved in glycosylation reactions, and the SEC34 complex, which is involved in vesicular transport. These 3 complexes are identical and have been termed the conserved oligomeric Golgi (COG) complex, which includes COG5 (Ungar et al., 2002 [PubMed 11980916]).[supplied by OMIM].

Product Notes
The COG5 cog5 (Catalog #AAA200100) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The COG5 antibody - N-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's COG5 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the COG5 cog5 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: MGWVGGRRRD SASPPGRSRS AADDINPAPA NMEGGGGSVA VAGLGARGSG. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "COG5, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
