Biological Significance
The epidermal growth factor receptor (EGFR) is the cell-surface receptor for members of the epidermal growth factor family (EGF-family) of extracellular protein ligands. EGFR (epidermal growth factor receptor) exists on the cell surface and is activated by binding of its specific ligands, including epidermal growth factor and transforming growth factor alpha (TGF alpha).
Cross-Reactivity
Mouse, rat, turkey
Immunogen
Recombinant 20a.a. residues representing a portion of the internal domain of the receptor proximal to phosphorylation region.
Preparation and Storage
4°C short term only, for long term storage, aliquot and freeze at -20°C.

Product Notes
The EGFR egfr (Catalog #AAA74912) is an Antibody produced from Sheep and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's EGFR can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), IP (Immunoprecipitation), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), ICC (Immunocytochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EGFR egfr for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "EGFR, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
