Related Product Information for anti-EPHB2 antibody
Description: Rabbit IgG polyclonal antibody for Eph receptor B2/EPHB2 detection. Tested with WB, ICC/IF, FCM, Direct ELISA in Human; Mouse; Rat.
Background: Ephrin type-B receptor 2 is a protein that in humans is encoded by the EPHB2 gene. This gene is mapped to 1p36.12. This gene encodes a member of the Eph receptor family of receptor tyrosine kinase transmembrane glycoproteins. These receptors are composed of an N-terminal glycosylated ligand-binding domain, a transmembrane region and an intracellular kinase domain. They bind ligands called ephrins and are involved in diverse cellular processes including motility, division, and differentiation. A distinguishing characteristic of Eph-ephrin signaling is that both receptors and ligands are competent to transduce a signaling cascade, resulting in bidirectional signaling. This protein belongs to a subgroup of the Eph receptors called EphB. Proteins of this subgroup are distinguished from other members of the family by sequence homology and preferential binding affinity for membrane-bound ephrin-B ligands. Allelic variants are associated with prostate and brain cancer susceptibility. Alternative splicing results in multiple transcript variants.

The EPHB2 ephb2 (Catalog #AAA125428) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-Eph receptor B2/EPHB2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Eph receptor B2/EPHB2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA (Direct ELISA), FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), IF (Immunofluorescence), ICC (Immunocytochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the EPHB2 ephb2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Eph receptor B2/EPHB2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
