Blocked the membrane with 5% Non-fat Milk/ TBS for 1. 5 hour at RT. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-KCNJ16 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (Catalog # AAA125815) at 0. 5 μg/mL overnight at 4 degree C, then washed with TBS-0. 1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:5000 for 1. 5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for KCNJ16 at approximately 48KD. The expected band size for KCNJ16 is at 48KD.)

Related Product Information for anti-KCNJ16 antibody
Potassium inwardly-rectifying channel, subfamily J, member 16 (KCNJ16) is a human gene encoding the Kir5. 1 protein. Potassium channels are present in most mammalian cells, where they participate in a wide range of physiologic responses. The protein encoded by this gene is an integral membrane protein and inward-rectifier type potassium channel. The encoded protein, which tends to allow potassium to flow into rather than out of a cell, can form heterodimers with two other inward-rectifier type potassium channels. It may function in fluid and pH balance regulation. Alternatively spliced transcript variants have been found for this gene.

Product Notes

The KCNJ16 kcnj16 (Catalog #AAA125815) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-KCNJ16 Antibody reacts with Human, Monkey and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCNJ16 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCNJ16 kcnj16 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCNJ16, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
