Related Product Information for anti-KCNQ4 antibody
The protein encoded by this gene forms a potassium channel that is thought to play a critical role in the regulation of neuronal excitability, particularly in sensory cells of the cochlea. The current generated by this channel is inhibited by M1 muscarinic acetylcholine receptors and activated by retigabine, a novel anti-convulsant drug. The encoded protein can form a homomultimeric potassium channel or possibly a heteromultimeric channel in association with the protein encoded by the KCNQ3 gene. Defects in this gene are a cause of nonsyndromic sensorineural deafness type 2 (DFNA2), an autosomal dominant form of progressive hearing loss. Two transcript variants encoding different isoforms have been found for this gene.

Product Notes
The KCNQ4 kcnq4 (Catalog #AAA201520) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The KCNQ4 Antibody - C-terminal region reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's KCNQ4 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the KCNQ4 kcnq4 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. The amino acid sequence is listed below: Synthetic peptide located within the following region: GPGDRKAREK GDKGPSDAEV VDEISMMGRV VKVEKQVQSI EHKLDLLLGF. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "KCNQ4, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
