Related Product Information for anti-PLCG2 antibody
Phosphoinositide-specific phospholipase C (PLC) plays a significant role in transmembrane signaling. In response to extracellular stimuli such as hormones, growth factors and neurotransmitters, PLC hydrolyzes phosphatidylinositol 4,5-bisphosphate (PIP2) to generate two secondary messengers: inositol 1,4,5-triphosphate (IP3) and diacylglycerol (DAG) (1). At least four families of PLCs have been identified: PLCb, PLCg, PLCd and PLCeta. The PLCb subfamily includes four members, PLCb1-4. All four members of the subfamily are activated by a- or b-g-subunits of the heterotrimeric G-proteins (2,3).Phosphorylation is one of the key mechanisms that regulates the activity of PLC. Phosphorylation of Ser1105 by PKA or PKC inhibits PLCb3 activity (4,5). Ser537 of PLCb3 is phosphorylated by CaMKII, and this phosphorylation may contribute to the basal activity of PLCb3. PLCg is activated by both receptor and nonreceptor tyrosine kinases (6).PLCg forms a complex with EGF and PDGF receptors, which leads to the phosphorylation of PLCg at Tyr771, 783 and 1245 (7). Phosphorylation by Syk at Tyr783 activates the enzymatic activity of PLCg1 (8).

Product Notes
The PLCG2 plcg2 (Catalog #AAA304798) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The PLCG2 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's PLCG2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IP (Immunoprecipitation), IF (Immunofluorescence), IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PLCG2 plcg2 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PLCG2, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
