Related Product Information for PP2Aalpha/PPP2R1A recombinant protein
Recombinant full length human PP2Aa and human PPP2R1A were expressed by baculovirus in Sf9 insect cells using an N-terminal GST tag. The PP2Aa gene accession number is NM_002715; PPP2R1A is NM_014225.
PP2Aalpha is also known as Protein phosphatase 2A active subunit. PP2A is one of the four major Ser/Thr phosphatases and is a human tumor suppressor that inhibits cellular transformation. PP2A alpha gene encodes a specific phosphotyrosyl phosphatase activator of the dimeric form of protein phosphatase-2A (1). Protein phosphatase 2A holoenzyme is a heterotrimeric proteins composed of a structural subunit A, a catalytic subunit C, and a regulatory subunit B. PTP2A alpha can alter the substrate specificity of PP2A leading to enhanced phosphotyrosine phosphatase activity and decreased phosphoserine phosphatase activity (2).

Product Notes
The PP2Aalpha/PPP2R1A (Catalog #AAA73806) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Sf9 insect cells and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. AAA Biotech's PP2Aalpha/PPP2R1A Complex can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot), Phosphatase Assay. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PP2Aalpha/PPP2R1A for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "PP2Aalpha/PPP2R1A Complex, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
