Thrombospondin-1 Recombinant Protein | TSP-1 recombinant protein
Human Thrombospondin-1 Recombinant
Purity
>90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Synonyms
Thrombospondin-1; N/A; Human Thrombospondin-1 Recombinant; thrmbospondin; THBS1; tsp; TSP-1 recombinant protein
Host
Insect Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders)
Purity/Purification
>90%, as determined by SDS-PAGE and HPLC
Form/Format
Recombinant Thrombospondin-1 is lyophilized from PBS pH 7.4.
Host Note
Optimized DNA sequence encoding Human Thrombospondin mature chain was expressed in insect cells.
Endotoxin
Endotoxin content was assayed using a LAL gel clot method.
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Endotoxin level was found to be less than 0.1 ng/ug (1EU/ug).
Molecular Weight Note
Native human Thrombospondin, generated by the proteolytic removal of the signal peptide and propeptide, and has a calculated molecular mass of approximately 128 kDa. Recombinant human TSP is a disulfide-linked monomer protein consisting of 1152 amino acid residue subunits, and migrates due to glycosylation as an approximately 140 kDa protein under non-reducing and reducing conditions in SDS-PAGE.
Preparation and Storage
The lyophilized protein is stable for at least 2 years from date of receipt at -20°C. Upon reconstitution, this cytokine can be stored in working aliquots at 2-8°C for one month, or -20°C for six months, with a carrier protein withouth detectable loss of activity. Avoid repeated freeze/ thaw cycles.

Product Notes
The TSP-1 thbs1 (Catalog #AAA76099) is a Recombinant Protein produced from Insect Cells (Host protein expression may be lot-specific and can be subject to change during production, including bulk orders) and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Thrombospondin-1, Recombinant Protein" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
