Principle of the Assay: PSA is a proteolytic enzyme mainly produced by prostate epithelial cells, which is secreted into prostatic fluid or semen under normal circumstances. Serum PSA determination has high accuracy, stability, good repeatability, and is non-invasive, which helps in the early identification of prostate cancer, monitoring treatment response and judgment of prognosis.Human Prostate Specific Antigen (PSA) ELISA Kit employs a double antibody sandwich method to quantitate Human PSA in samples. An antibody specific for Human PSA has been pre-coated onto a microplate. Standards and samples are pipetted into the wells and any Human PSA present is bound by the immobilized antibody. After removing any unbound substances, a HRP-conjugated antibody specific for Human PSA is added to the wells. After washing, remove any unbound HRP-conjugated antibody reagent, adding HRP Substrate (TMB), TMB turns blue under the catalysis of HRP, and turns yellow after adding stop solution. Measure the OD value with a microplate reader at 450 nm wavelength. The Human Carcinoembryonic antigen (PSA) concentration is proportional to the OD450 nm value.
