This product is shipped at ambient temperature. It is recommended to aliquot and store at -20 degree C on receipt. When thawed, aliquot the sample as needed. Keep aliquots at 2-8 degree C for short term use (up to 4 weeks) and store the remaining aliquots at -20 degree C.
Avoid repeated freezing and thawing as this may denature the antibody. Storage in frost-free freezers is not recommended. Should this product contain a precipitate we recommend microcentrifugation before use.

Rat anti Human SMARCA4 antibody, clone 5B7 recognizes special AT-rich sequence-binding protein 2, also known as transcription activator BRG1.
SMARCA4 is a member of the SWI/SNF family of proteins. SWI/SNF proteins display ATPase and helicase activities and regulate gene transcription via chromatin remodelling. SMRCA4 is important for spermatogenesis and embryo development (Kim et al. 2012) (Zhang et al. 2011). SMARCA4 is also the most frequently mutated chromatin remodeling ATPase in cancer. Mutations in the SMARCA4 have been observed in many tumor subtypes including pancreatic cancers and some types of leukemia (Jones et al. 2012) (Shain et al. 2012) (Hodges et al. 2018) (Romero et al. 2012).
