Application Data

(The neutralization activity of antibody is measured by its ability to neutralize TNFa induced cytotoxicity in the L-929 mouse fibroblast cell line. The Neutralization titer (IC50) is typically 13.5-54 ng/mL in the presence of 0.25 ng/mL Recombinant Human TNFa and 1 ug/mL actinomycin D.)

Related Product Information for anti-TNF antibody
Tumor necrosis factor alpha (TNF-alpha), also known as TNF, TNFA or TNFSF2, is the prototypic cytokine of the TNF superfamily, and is a multifunctional molecule involved in the regulation of a wide spectrum of biological processes including cell proliferation, differentiation, apoptosis, lipid metabolism, and coagulation. Two receptors, TNF-R1 (TNF receptor type 1; CD120a; p55/60) and TNF-R2 (TNF receptor type 2; CD120b; p75/80), bind to TNF-alpha. TNF-alpha protein is produced mainly by macrophages, and large amounts of this cytokine are released in response to lipopolysaccharide, other bacterial products, and Interleukin-1 (IL-1). TNF-alpha is involved in fighting against the tumorigenesis, thus, is regarded as a molecular insight in cancer treatment.

Product Notes

The TNF tnf (Catalog #AAA255020) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The TNF-alpha/TNFA/TNFSF2 Neutralizing Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's TNF-alpha/TNFA/TNFSF2 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, NTRL (Neutralization Assay), Blocking, FCM/FACS (Flow Cytometry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TNF tnf for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "TNF-alpha/TNFA/TNFSF2, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
