Related Product Information for anti-TOP2A antibody
It recognizes a 170kDa protein, which is identified as topoisomerase IIalpha. It shows no cross-reaction with Topoisomerase II beta or I. Topo II alpha plays important roles in synthesis and transcription of DNA as well as chromosomal segregation during mitosis. It is reported to be a sensitive and specific marker of late S-, G2- & M-phases in transformed and developmentally regulated normal cells. Topo II alpha is also implicated in drug resistance of tumor cells and has been shown to be over-expressed in many human cancers. Decreased expression of Topo IIa is the predominant mechanism of resistance to several chemotherapeutic agents.

Product Notes
The TOP2A top2a (Catalog #AAA215960) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Topoisomerase II alpha (Proliferation & Drug-Resistance Marker) Recombinant Mouse Monoclonal Antibody [Clone rTOP2A/6629] reacts with Human and Mouse. and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's Topoisomerase II alpha can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the TOP2A top2a for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "Topoisomerase II alpha, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
