Application Data

(Immunostaining of normal ovarian and tumor tissue sections showing specific labeling of CD133. Staining of CD133 in OSE layer (A, B) as well as cortex (C) reveals specific CD133+ cells with relatively higher cell numbers in BL and HG. Area within dotted lines in BN OSE (A) are magnified in (B) while elliptical/spindle shaped CD133+ cells in cortex from various fields were represented in the composite image in (C) of BN and HG. Large CD133+ cells in cortex were also observed. Image from the following publ)

Related Product Information for anti-PROM1 antibody
CD133 rabbit polyclonal primary antibody from the lab is produced in-house. It detects human CD133 and is antigen affinity purified. It is great for use in WB, IHC.
Prominin-1 (also known as CD133) is expressed on primitive hematopoietic stem and progenitor cells, retinoblastoma, hemangioblasts, and neural stem cells as well as on developing epithelium. The Prominin-1 positive fraction of human bone marrow, cord blood and peripheral blood have been shown to efficiently engraft in xenotransplantation models, and have been shown to contain the majority of the granulocyte/macrophage precursors, NOD/SCID repopulating cells and CD34 + dendritic cell precursors.

Product Notes

The PROM1 prom1 (Catalog #AAA72779) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD133 (Prominin1) Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD133 (Prominin1) can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the PROM1 prom1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD133 (Prominin1), Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
