Related Product Information for anti-CD133 antibody
The EMK08 monoclonal antibody reacts with human CD133 (Prominin-1), a 120 kDa member of the pentaspan family of proteins, which also includes Prominin-2. Their expression is found within plasma membrane protrusions such as epithelial microvilli. CD133 can exist in a number of alternatively spliced isoforms, and the protein has several N-linked glycosylation sites; the occurrence of both may be tissue-dependent. Human CD133 was first identified as an epitope expressed on CD34+ hematopoietic progenitors. Although the ligand and function of CD133 remain unknown, it has since proven to be very useful as a marker for both stem cells and cancer stem cells. In addition to its expression on hematopoietic precursors, CD133 has been used to identify tumorigenic colon cancer stem cells, brain cancer stem cells, prostate cancer stem cells, in addition to others.

Product Notes
The CD133 (Catalog #AAA60763) is an Antibody produced from Mouse and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Anti-CD133 Antibody reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD133 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD133 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD133, Monoclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.Precautions
