Reconstitution
Adding 0.2 ml of distilled water will yield a concentration of 500 ug/ml.
Immunogen
A synthetic peptide corresponding to a sequence of human G3BP/G3BP1 (EKPEPVLEETAPEDAQK).
Preparation and Storage
Store at -20 degree C for one year from date of receipt. After reconstitution, at 4 degree C for one month. It can also be aliquotted and stored frozen at -20 degree C for six months. Avoid repeated freezing and thawing.

The sample well of each lane was loaded with 30 ug of sample under reducing conditions.Lane 1: human Jurkat whole cell lysates,Lane 2: human 293T whole cell lysates,Lane 3: human A549 whole cell lysates,Lane 4: human MDA-MB-453 whole cell lysates,Lane 5: human U-87MG whole cell lysates,Lane 6: human Caco-2 whole cell lysates,Lane 7: human Raji whole cell lysates.After electrophoresis, proteins were transferred to a nitrocellulose membrane at 150 mA for 50-90 minutes. The membrane was incubated with rabbit anti-G3BP/G3BP1 antigen affinity purified polyclonal antibody (#AAA19450) at 0.25 ug/mL overnight at 4 degree C, then washed with TBS-0.1%Tween 3 times with 5 minutes each and probed with a goat anti-rabbit IgG-HRP secondary antibody at a dilution of 1:5000 for 1.5 hour at RT. The signal is developed using an Enhanced Chemiluminescent detection (ECL) kit with Tanon 5200 system. A specific band was detected for G3BP/G3BP1 at approximately 68 kDa. Ras GTPase-activating protein-binding protein 1 is an enzyme that in humans is encoded by the G3BP1 gene. This gene encodes one of the DNA-unwinding enzymes which prefers partially unwound 3'-tailed substrates and can also unwind partial RNA/DNA and RNA/RNA duplexes in an ATP-dependent fashion. This enzyme is a member of the heterogeneous nuclear RNA-binding proteins and is also an element of the Ras signal transduction pathway. It binds specifically to the Ras-GTPase-activating protein by associating with its SH3 domain. Several alternatively spliced transcript variants of this gene have been described, but the full-length nature of some of these variants has not been determined.
