product-image-AAA211777_WB13.jpg WB (Western Blot) (Detection of human MEK1 by western blot and immunoprecipitation. Samples: Whole cell lysate (5, 15 and 50 ug for WB; 1 mg for IP, 20% of IP loaded) from HeLa cells. Antibodies: Affinity purified rabbit anti-MEK1 antibody AAA211777 used for WB at 0.1 ug/ml (A) and 1 ug/ml (B) and used for IP at 3 ug/mg lysate. MEK1 was efficiently immunoprecipitated by rabbit anti-MEK1 antibody BL8445, which recognizes an upstream epitope. Detection: Chemiluminescence with exposure times of 30 seconds (A) and 10 seconds (B).)

Related Product Information for anti-MEK1 antibody
MEK1 is an activator and kinase for MAP and ERK kinases. It is a serine/threonine kinase essential to the MAP kinase signal transduction pathway which is involved in a multitude of cellular processes such as proliferation, differentiation, gene activation, and development. MEK1 displays 85% identity with MEK2. Although MEK1 and MEK2 have been found to be functionally similar, they may serve non-redundant functions. Both are required for cellular proliferation and may play a role in tumorigenesis.

Product Notes

The MEK1 map2k1 (Catalog #AAA211777) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti-MEK1 Antibody, Affinity Purified reacts with Human and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's MEK1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the MEK1 map2k1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "MEK1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
