Related Product Information for anti-XRCC1 antibody
Description: XRCC1 Corrects defective DNA strand-break repair and sister chromatid exchange following treatment with ionizing radiation and alkylating agents. Homodimer. Interacts with polynucleotide kinase (PNK), DNA polymerase-beta (POLB) and DNA ligase III (LIG3).
Function: Involved in DNA single-strand break repair by mediating the assembly of DNA break repair protein complexes. Probably during DNA repair, negatively regulates ADP-ribose levels by modulating ADP-ribosyltransferase PARP1 activity.
Subunit Structure: Homodimer. Interacts with polynucleotide kinase (PNK), DNA polymerase-beta (POLB) and DNA ligase III (LIG3). Interacts with APTX and APLF. Interacts with APEX1; the interaction is induced by SIRT1 and increases with the acetylated form of APEX1.
Post-translational Modifications: Phosphorylation of Ser-371 causes dimer dissociation. Phosphorylation by CK2 promotes interaction with APTX and APLF. Sumoylated.

Product Notes

The XRCC1 xrcc1 (Catalog #AAA320936) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The XRCC1 Antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's XRCC1 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, ELISA, IHC (Immunohistochemistry), WB (Western Blot). Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the XRCC1 xrcc1 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "XRCC1, Polyclonal Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
