WB (Western Blot)

(Western Blot: The tissue lysate derived from mouse kidney was immunoprobed by Rabbit anti-CD133 (Cat# AAA14080) at 1:500. An immunoreactive band is observed around ~117kDa. This band was depleted by pre-incubation with immunizing peptide.)

Related Product Information for anti-CD133 antibody
Background: CD133, originally known as AC133, is a glycoprotein, also known in humans and rodents as Prominin 1 (PROM1). CD133 is a member of pentaspan transmembrane glycoproteins (5-transmembrane, 5-TM), which specifically localize to cellular protrusions. CD133 is expressed in hemtopoietic stem cells, endothelial progenitor cells, glioblastoma, neuronal and glial stem cells, virous pediatric brain tumors as well as adult kidney, mammary glands, trachea salivary glands, placenta, digestive tract, testes, and some other cell types.

Product Notes

The CD133 (Catalog #AAA14080) is an Antibody produced from Rabbit and is intended for research purposes only. The product is available for immediate purchase. The Rabbit anti CD133 antibody reacts with Human, Mouse, Rat and may cross-react with other species as described in the data sheet. AAA Biotech's CD133 can be used in a range of immunoassay formats including, but not limited to, Immunohistochemistry-Paraffin (IHC-P), Western Blot (WB), Flow Cytometry (FC), ELISA (EIA), Immunoprecipitation (IP). Western Blot: 0.1-1 ug/ml ELISA: 0.01-0.1 ug/ml Immunoprecipitation: 2-5 ug/ml IHC: 2-10 ug/ml Flow cytometry: 0.5-5 ug/106 cells Optimal dilutions should be determined by researchers for the specific applications. Researchers should empirically determine the suitability of the CD133 for an application not listed in the data sheet. Researchers commonly develop new applications and it is an integral, important part of the investigative research process. It is sometimes possible for the material contained within the vial of "CD133, Antibody" to become dispersed throughout the inside of the vial, particularly around the seal of said vial, during shipment and storage. We always suggest centrifuging these vials to consolidate all of the liquid away from the lid and to the bottom of the vial prior to opening. Please be advised that certain products may require dry ice for shipping and that, if this is the case, an additional dry ice fee may also be required.
